Biography

Nanne Onland holds a master degree in Communications at the University of Amsterdam and started his professional career in 1997 with Schiphol Group. Within Amsterdam Airport Schiphol he fulfilled a number of assignments in the field of Business- and Project management.

Assignments included:

  • Establishing Schiphol TravelPort, Schiphol’s internet travel agency.
  • Managing the Passenger Information and Services department of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
  • Taking a lead role in the establishment of the joint venture Dartagnan BV between Joh. Enschedé, the Dutch security printing company and Schiphol Group.

Joined the Management Team of Dartagnan, since 2004 a full subsidiary of Schiphol Group, in January 2002 and was as director responsible for the marketing, sales and delivery of biometrically enabled automated border passage and access control solutions into the global Aviation & Transportation markets. In April 2007 Nanne took over the position of Director of Dartagnan BV.

Other activities include:

  • Program manager on behalf of Schiphol Group for the development of the International Expedited Traveler Program, an initiative of the US and Netherlands Governments. 
  • Member of the user commission of technology foundation STW of University of Twente advising on funding of biometric related R&D activities.

Dartagnan cooperates with airports, airlines and Government authorities to design, develop and operate Registered Traveler (RT) programs. It operates programs in Europe (www.privium.com) and Asia Pacific (www.saphire.co.id) and expects to launch the first transatlantic registered traveler program in 2008.

Dartagnan is a 100% daughter company of Schiphol Group
